Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to drinking water, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.
